1999年8月，学校草创之际，学校学员只有10余人。但如今，超过200多人正在致远学校就读各种英语课程我校占地500多平方米，因学校扩建现扩大招生，望广大英语爱好者积极前来报名、咨询。在这短短的一年半中，已经有800多位学员先后在本校就读。其中大部分学员之所以来本校学习，是因为本校非常注重教学质量并已初步建立了优良的"口碑"。
At present FEC's current curricula include:
basic English courses (8 levels) for adults, IELTS
exam course for those who plan to study overseas,
business English courses and courses for children
of different ages. We have helped many companies
and organizations to train their staff English.
They include Optical Fiber Corporation, the Economic
Reform Department of Zhuhai Municipal Government
and a MBA course institute.
目前致远学校开设的课程主要有：成人基础英语 （分I至VIII 级）；IELTS出国英语培训；商务英语；幼儿少儿英语。学校同时还提供对单位英语培训的服务。我们曾先后为包括美资企业光联公司，珠海市政府体制改革委员会在内的许多单位的职员进行了英语培训。
A survey made by our school shows that most English
learners will probably think Far East School as
the best option. But, of course, friends of the
following categories can be the exceptions:
1. those whose English language skills are close
to those of English major graduates;
2. those who still believe that grammatical grip
= command of English;
3. those who study for ornament rather than for
ability;
4. those who totally depend on speaking with a
native speaker rather than on necessary systematic
training;
5. those who have little knowledge of the existence
of the "Piano Method"
调查表明，大部分英语爱好者或真正想学好英语的朋友都可能将致远学校作为其最佳选择。而如下朋友则当别论：
1． 受过严格的语感训练，已达到英语专业水平者；
2． 以为学会语法=学会英语，把英语当成知识者；
3． 要文凭不要水平者；
4． 迷信外教，以为不系统学习，就能提高英语者；
5． 消息不灵通，对本学校极其"钢琴学习法"不了解者。
FEC has also a translation centre that provides
translation service and interpreters of many different
languages.
致远学校还设有"致远翻译部"，提供多国语言的口译和笔译服务。
Considerable achievements have been made in
the past one and a half years. 95 % of our students
have got certificates (issued by our own school)
from Band I through Band VIII respectively. Our
First English recitation contest held on Oct.10th
2000 became news of the day of the local TV network.
In November 2000 our advanced class students,
headed by our teachers, helped Zhuhai TV to write
news reports in English for the occasion of China's
Third Airshow.
在过去短短的一年半中，学校取得了可喜的成绩。95%以上的通过了由本校建立各种等级（I-VIII级）考试。本校于2000年10月10日在文化广场举办的英语朗诵比赛晚会，吸引了不少观众，成为珠海电视台的一大新闻。2000年11月，本校的高级班学员，在老师的带领下，去电视台为第三届中国航空航天博览会撰写英语新闻稿。20多个学员，成功地通过了各种出国考试。
Our short but fruitful past makes us feel confident
in our future. We see our school develop into
the largest language-training centre in Southern
China. FEC shall turn itself a foreign language
institute that will not only have existing courses
and translation services, but curricula for internationals
to learn Chinese as well. We hope that students
here will enjoy their class and make great achievements.
We hope that all our teachers will be true educators.
过去的成绩使得我们对致远学校的未来充满信心。她在不久的将来将成为华南最大的语言 培训基地。我们希望我们的学员享受学习并取得长足进步。我们希望我们所有的老师成为真正的教育家。
