Mr. Carlos Miguel Pereira, Cuban Ambassador to
China and Zhuhai municipal leaders were all present
for the official ceremony. Invested with a total
of 500 million Yuan RMB, Double Happiness Electric
Appliances Industrial Park covers a land area
of 90,000 square meters and has an annual production
capacity of up to 24 million sets of pressure
cookers, electric cookers and electric pressure
cookers. Double Happiness Group is China’s first
pressure cooker manufacturer. In 2000, the company
moved from Shenyang to Zhuhai. Over the past 7
years, the company was able to re-lead the cooker
manufacturing industry in China, with the products
exported to European and the US markets and an
in-total sales volume exceeding one billion Yuan
RMB in 2007.

International has a project of Asia Pacific Resources
International Limited (APRIL) in Fushan Industrial
Park in Zhuhai. The preparatory work of the project
is now proceeding very well. At the meeting, Mr.
Gan Lin introduced to the guests the recent social
and economic development in Zhuhai. He also said
that Zhuhai would provide the best governmental
service to support the Company’s development.
Mr. Sukanto Tanoto highly praised Zhuhai’s ecological
environment, openness, government service, investment
conditions and development potentials. He said
that the APRIL project will introduce the most
advanced eco-friendly technologies and equipment
to reduce the pollution to the environment to

A Gu Yuan and his students’ work exhibition will
be held at Gu Yuan Art Museum from May 6th. The
gallery will show you the master’s and his apprentices’
most outstanding print and water colour paintings.

, 曾于 1983-1987 年任中央美术学院院长 , 他的学生后来 有不少也成了杰出的美术家。这次古元博物馆专门从全国各地收集了他和
17 位弟子的作品 , 本次展出的有 115 幅版画和水彩 , 这些作品既有特殊的个人风格
, 也有鲜明的时代特征。展览从 5 月 6 日一直持续到 6 月底 , 闲暇之余您不妨也去欣赏一下吧。
Text: Mr.
Gu Yuan was born in Tangjia, Zhuhai. He was the
principal of China Central Academy of Fine Arts
from the year 1983 to 1987. Many of his pupils
also became famous artists later. The gallery
specially collected his and his students’ works
from around the country. The 115 print and water
colour paintings are with both individual styles
and time characteristics. The exhibition will
be available from May 6th till the end of June.
